In August, 2019, I will be moving to the University of Wyoming to start a lab in their Department of Molecular Biology. Currently, I am a Life Sciences Research Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow working at the University of North Carolina with Prof. Gary Pielak.
I am interested in the fundamental mechanisms of extreme stress tolerance. I use tardigrades (water bears) as a model system to identify and characterize novel mediators of stress tolerance.
My research combines molecular and cell biological techniques, with next-generation sequencing, biochemistry, bioinformatics, analytical chemistry, and genetic engineering.
Many thanks to the institutions and funding agencies that make my research possible.
